In November, I purchased a VIP package to meet Reba McEntire in Green Bay on April 25th. She has been my favorite entertainer since I first heard her sing. I cried like an idiot for an hour after I ordered the ticket. Since then, I haven't been able to listen to my "REBA Makes My Heart Happy" playlist without turning into a blubbering mess.
Covid hit and the concert was postponed to July 31st. I had April 25th tattooed on my heart since 11/19/19. While I am still holding a ticket to meet her, the three additional months to wait will, well... suck.
All sorts of things are sucking right now for folks. When things are sucky, I lean into the "sad ass" songs. Join me for my virtual unhappy hour on the evening I should be meeting Reba. I'll play some sad ass songs and maybe even play a Reba song or two.
(I've never played music using Facebook Live before. This is going to be a giant leap outside of my comfort zone.)
